Permitted use

The tools are free for personal, academic and commercial use. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, redistribute it as your own product, or use automated systems to overload it.

Your content

You keep all rights to the text you enter. Because processing is local, we never take a licence to it and never see it.

Accuracy

Counts are computed with documented rules, and reading and speaking times are estimates based on average speeds. Verify against your institution’s or platform’s own counter when a limit is strictly enforced.

Availability

The service is provided “as is” without warranty. We may change or withdraw features at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, WordToolbox is not liable for losses arising from use of the tools, including reliance on any count or estimate.
